For those who are not familiar with the series, the illustrator behind these cute pets is Ben Hed. He describes Pixie as a joyful, cheerful kitten that is curious and adventurous. But she is always oblivious to the things around her and that makes anyone who sees her wants to protect her. While Brutus possess a more realistic character being a retired MWD (military war dog). Ben describes him as 'serious and intimidating', but maybe because of everything he's seen, Brutus just can't let Pixie go off on her own. He's always there for her and tries his best to keep her happy, even if that means he has to become her sidekick!
