People Can't Believe That Andy Samberg Is 40

The recent Golden Globes awards were filled with pomp and glamour as the who-and-who in the film industry came to witness defining career moments for a number of stars. Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s very own Jake Peralta popular as Andy Samberg presented the awards alongside Sandra Oh, who went on to bag award for best actress in a TV drama.

While the night was definitely exciting, most people were fixated on Samberg’s 25-year-old looks despite being 40 years old. Being his first time to presenting at the Golden Globes, it was an exciting feat but not as much as looking younger than most high school seniors. Don’t believe it, a photo of the young Sanberg with his mate Chelsea Peretti who is also 40 will clear any doubts. The duo were schoolmates and this resurfaced photo showed them in their awkward pre-teen glory.

The pair were actually mates in school, which is all sorts of adorable, and this recently resurfaced pic shows them way back in the 6th grade - in all their awkward pre-teen glory.

And if that isn't cute enough for you, Peretti opened up about having a huge crush on Samberg when they were youngsters.

Speaking on Conan O'Brien's chat show - cunningly titled Conan - she said: "We went to elementary school... I had a huge crush on Andy and he, for some reason, will never acknowledge this, when I bring it up, he just dead-eyes me.

"I used to call his house on like those old-timey phones that we used to have. I would call and hang up, call and hang up as some young girls do. Irritating young girls.

"I don't know what my end game was really, I didn't have a plan, there was no emojis then, that would have made it so easy you know, to flirt with him."

Sadly, Peretti will be bowing out of the show in this season, which is due to land later this week.

In a heartfelt post, Peretti, who plays Gina Linetti in the hit show, said: "I won't be doing a full season of Brooklyn Nine-Nine in Season 6. But that doesn't mean I won't ever be back, winky face emoji, heart emoji.

"I want to thank you for the hours you spent watching Gina be Gina: confident, idiotic-but-smart, pithy, and infused with rhythm and cell-phone radiation. It is hard for me to know exactly what to say."
