Well, sure if you want a good guy that will take good care of your family while you take care of your children, he should have enough decency to treat you a couple of dinners. You treat your friends on your birthday, why would it be a problem to treat your guy on a date?
But this old-fashioned girl we have right here is about to shock you. Not only did she invite the guy for a dinner, she thinks a gentleman should be paying for her dinner. Well, okay, to impress your partner, you sometimes have to do more to gain that. But this guy refused to and posted his screenshots under Reddit user u/CuteBananaMuffin. Girl rejected guy's second date offer to make up for it and you will definitely agree with the guy not trying to appease her for that.
