Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson called it quits earlier this week after nine months of dating. The pair had begun unexpected romance after her inaugural hosting gig on SNL in early October 2021. Soon after, the two were seen holding hands on a roller coaster before going on dates in NYC.
At the time, sources alleged the reality TV star was intrigued by the funnyman, but no labels were instantly placed.
The rumors continued when Davidson traveled to Los Angeles to celebrate his 28th birthday with Kim and her momager Kris Jenner. A photo that emerged online showed the trio wearing matching SKIMs pajamas. However, the SKKN Founder went public in March, posting the SNL star on her Instagram Page.
In April, the pair then made their first public appearance at Hulu’s premiere of The Kardashians.
“Kim and Pete have decided to just be friends. They have a lot of love and respect for each other, but found that the long distance and their demanding schedules made it difficult to maintain a relationship,” a source close to the Kardashian shared. Another opined that the pair’s age difference contributed to the decision.
On the other hand, People reported that an insider suggested: “They are making it work. They are still very happy. They are very much a serious couple.”
Of when Kim went to visit her boyfriend in Australia, the source also said: “It’s their first summer as a couple, and they are having a blast. Pete has an intense work schedule starting later this summer, [so] they are trying to enjoy as much [time together] as possible right now.” So far, the SNL alum, 28, has been working much of his time in Australia.
Mom-of-four, 41, has, on her part, been juggling her businesses and co-parenting with ex-husband Kanye West.
It’s alleged the 45-Year-Old, who has been into public rants in recent months, has nothing to do with the breakup. Interestingly, Pete, who had bonded with Kim and West’s children, Chicago West, Psalm West, Saint West, and North West, will appear in the flesh during Season 2 of the Kardashians, but it’s unknown if the pair’s split will be featured.
