Obese Woman Who 'Gave Up On Love' Now Has Baby With A Guy Half Her Size

The saying “love is blind’ has proven itself time after time. More so, humans are a unique species endowed with particular likes and dislike peculiar to them. Recently, 24-Year-Old care worker, Brittany Montgomery, shared the story of how she found true love even after she had given up on the idea.

With her 22,257lb body, Brittany seemed to be a victim of body shaming as she is obese in the figure.

She had been in relationships where she struggled to maintain her confidence level because her previous partners often asked her to lose weight and slim down. As tables would turn for her, she eventually found someone who loved her for who she was, Matt Montgomery, 23. The personal trainer met with Brittany, from Ontario, Canada, on Facebook.

And soon, the pair got along so well and decided to make it official in 2021 when they married.

More recently, the duo shared the news of the birth of their baby boy via their joint Instagram handle as they flaunt pictures of the newly born. The photos tagged “purest of love” showed the baby curled up in a well-knitted grey blanket and matching grey beanie with ears. A close-range photo of the baby’s face alongside two videos displaying the birth process and Montgomery’s reaction to the good news was equally shared with their followers.

Also, in May, a photo of the couples on a porch just outside their home was captioned: “Just like our first date but post-baby.”

Talking about how she met her now-husband, Brittany explained: “We hit it off right away from the moment we met. I was a bit hesitant at first. I’ve been in relationships where guys have told me that they will dump me if I don’t start dieting or trying to lose weight.” Matt, who weighs 140lb, said he got attracted to Brittany’s body-positive message and that his past relationships with slimmer women suffered because of their body insecurities.

He said: “I’ve been in previous relationships with skinny girls, and they’ve not been happy in themselves at all.”

Matt added: "They weren’t positive people, or they constantly felt like they needed to change things about themselves, and it got me down too. When I met Britt, she was so confident in her body, I loved that about her, she doesn’t want to change anything and I would never ask her to. love food as well, so that’s a plus. I’m not worried about tracking her calories or dieting. I just want her to eat what she wants and be happy.”
