Will Smith Risks Getting Banned From The ‘Bad Boys 4’ After Oscars Slap

Sony Entertainment has reportedly paused the production of 'Bad Boys 4' after the Oscars slap incident became a major talk since the 94th Academy Awards ended the past week. The 53-year-old has played the role of Detective Mike Lowrey in the series since its success in 1995, alongside Martin Lawrence, who's set to reprise his role as Marcus Burnett.

The actor is currently facing possible disciplinary actions from the board of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

'Bad Boys 4' has proven to not only be the only project that's paused after the slap. Netflix has also been slowing down its production that stars Smith in a new action-thriller flick, 'Fast and Loose.'

Smith has also announced his "resignation" from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences not long after sending a public apology at the comedian he'd slapped at the event.

The joke that Chris Rock made of Jada Pinkett Smith had rubbed them the wrong and incited a physical response. Jada, who's been struggling and open about her alopecia struggle, sported a bald head since last summer, and Rock made a 'G.I. Jane' reference to her.

There might not be a 'Bad Boys 4' but insiders are saying that these aren't completely stopped: industries are still observing to see how far Smith's reputation is destroyed.
