Another angle to the ongoing Will Smith’s Chris Rock Oscar slap has emerged. A new video filmed by a member of the Oscars 2022 audience sitting just two rows from the stage has shown how Jada Pinkett Smith laughed after her husband Will smacked the comedian on stage.

“Here is an angle most people have not seen. Look at Jada’s reaction,” reads the caption of the video shared by @Akademiks on Instagram.
Viewers chimed in and chastised Jada in the comments, as one person commented: “She got Will in trouble.” However, a separate clip, now viral, has also shown how Chris looked upset and embarrassed minutes after being slapped. The footage shared by @sincerelyordinary had zoomed on the 57-Year-Old as he prepared to present an Academy Award following the assault.

Chris sported a sad look in his eye and appeared lost in thought as he held the Oscars statuette. A user even speculated he was in a deep state of humiliation.

Amid the chaos, Chris returned to the Stage on Wednesday night for a show in Boston, marking his first public appearance. He told his audience he was still processing the incident. On the other hand, Smith apologized to the Academy and his fellow nominee during his acceptance speech. At the time, he left out Chris’s name but has since issued a formal apology, including Chris.
