Kailee, from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, then spent the next 48 hours unable to talk or drink due to the sore and swollen sausage lips. Most of her friends pointed out the swelling made her look like the character Fungus from the Disney Pixar film, Monsters, Inc. The three-eyed villain had been left with giant, red lips after being sucked into a scream extractor machine.

However, the technology consultant shares her story alongside the shocking photos of her lips to warn people about the dangers of allergic reactions to fillers.

As her lips ballooned and became painful, Kailee reached out to her doctor for advice and was eventually prescribed a week-long course of oral steroids to reduce the swelling. The doctor also warned she was at risk of her throat closing due to the dramatic swelling on her lips, which they worried might travel to her neck.

But thankfully, the bump began to subside after three days, and reaction passed without needing further treatment or the filler to be dissolved.

“The pictures don’t even really show how big they were, it was crazy. It was very painful. I was scared it was going to go to my throat, which is what doctors said it could do and my throat could close basically.”

“That was my biggest fear and then also just thinking, are they stuck like this? They went down after three days and then after that I wasn’t too bad.” Both Kailee’s family members and her followers were left stunned at the size of her lips, and after she posted photos of the reaction on social media.
