Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk and Grimes have become the next on-and-off high profile couple with just hours ago, Grimes announced that she and her partner of two kids have split up again. The 34-year-old announced it on Twitter, hours after her Vanity Fair interview was published.
For her "last" traditional press, Grimes (accidentally) announced the arrival of their second child, a daughter, through surrogacy.

But things changed so fast for the couple that just hours after Vanity Fair published the interview, the 34-year-old shared that their relationship had ended again. Previously, Grimes talked about how she could still describe the man as her "boyfriend" and shared their romantic moments while still co-parenting the children together.
Elon Musk remains focused on his projects in Texas while Grimes is living separately in Austin in a sleepy neighborhood that was 15 minutes away from downtown and close to a nearby Tesla factory.
When asked about their relationship after confirming Y's arrival, Grimes shared, “There’s no real word for it. I would probably refer to him as my boyfriend, but we’re very fluid.”
Grimes tried to conceal her second child's arrival, but to no avail, as she was crying when the interview took place. Y was born in December 2021, almost two years after X Æ A-12, their first child together, was born in May 2020.
“We see each other all the time…. We just have our own thing going on, and I don’t expect other people to understand it,” Grimes described the fluidity of their relationship.
“This is the best it’s ever been... We just need to be free,” Grimes stated before adding that they wanted more than children, "at least three or four."
During the time the interview took place, Grimes shared that X, their first child, was spending time with his dad while she was caring for her second child.
The couple shared that they both enjoy different things, which was why the separate houses worked for them.
Elon likes it when the house is "reasonably neat" but Grimes likes to be able to see her stuff everywhere. The Tesla owner shared his stance, “I just don’t like things to be messy and anime.”
But it seems that the two will remain amicable with each other as they co-parent their children together. Who knows, maybe this split won't be a permanent status for them!
