Elon Musk said he and Grimes are "semi-separated" on Times Magazine in 2021. But the two still maintain a healthy relationship together, and Grimes had denied claims from people who said the Tesla CEO is "hoarding wealth" in her recent interview with Vanity Fair.
The 33-year-old was girlfriend to one of the richest billionaires in the world for years, and many of us honestly did not see that coming.

Aside from talking about her growing family (congratulations on baby "Y"!), Grimes shared that Musk, apparently, wasn't living like a billionaire at all.
"People are like, 'He's hoarding money!' No, he's spending everything on [research and development]," Grimes stated. "It's for the benefit of humanity, and it's dangerous, and it's expensive."
"Bro might say a lot of stupid sh**, but he does the right thing," she admits. She shared how during the time they lived together in LA, Musk wouldn't change the mattress that had a hole in it.
"Bro does not live like a billionaire. Bro lives at times below the poverty line," she revealed.
"To the point where I was like, can we not live in a very insecure $40,000 house? Where the neighbors, like, film us, and there's no security, and I'm eating peanut butter for eight days in a row?"
She added, "We move and move and move because people keep finding where we live."
"I mean, when people say I'm a class traitor, that is not… an inaccurate description," she added.
