It seems that of recent animal rights group PETA has been enjoying having scuffles with the public. Their ordeals are far from over when recently they got into people’s nerves by being pig-headed. They pointed their radar at popular animal-based idioms like ‘opening a can of worms’. The organization hopes that ‘anti-animal language’ will one day be shunned and put in the same place as things like homophobia and racism.

While, the idea is ridiculous, they mean well. People were quick to take on the organization with astonishment and anger clouding their twitter page. Most were wondering how we could equate ridding real issues like racism and homophobia to archaic sayings. Well, it doesn’t and people were quick to point that out. Once again PETA were left in an absurd position as everyone capitalized on their silly mistake. Check out the savage backlash that PETA received from the internet.
