Californian couple Fatima Madrigal and Robert Trujillo welcomed their twin babies one year apart on New Year's night. Alfredo and Aylin, a pair of fraternal twins, were born 15 minutes apart in Greenfield. Their births are recorded at Natividad Medical Center.
Alfred was born on 11:45 of December 31st, while Aylin was born 15 minutes later as the clock ticked at midnight and the year changed to 2022.
Fatima was pleasantly surprised to see her twin babies born in different years and called it "crazy."

"It's crazy to me that they are twins and have different birthdays. I was surprised and happy that she arrived at midnight," she expressed her happiness during a press release from the medical center.
Fatima, who already has a son, will be bringing home the pair to their house in Monterey County.

The family home houses two other kids aside from Fatima's and says that her eldest son was excited to welcome his baby brother home.
The family doctor at Natividad Medical Group was equally impressed with the birth.

"This was definitely one of the most memorable deliveries of my career," says Dr. Ana Abril Arias. "It was an absolute pleasure to help these little ones arrive here safely in 2021 and 2022. What an amazing way to start the New Year!"
While it's possible for twins to be born minutes or even days apart, the chances of them being years but also only 15 minutes apart are rare. It is said to happen in only one of 2 million!
