Woman Who Drank Alcohol Hours After Getting Lip Fillers Wakes Up In Pain With Swollen Face

Morgan Proudlock from the UK shared quite an important piece of advice with her viral TikTok clip. The woman's lip filler job was botched after breaking one of the plastic surgery rules to stay away from alcohol. She shared that she'd gotten herself hyaluronic acid injection, a type of lip filler, just hours before she decided to hang out with some friends at the bar.

She dubbed it as "the worst thing I have ever done."

She clarified later that this happened way long ago and has since fully healed, as she showed in the same TikTok video.

But the British woman definitely still remembers the experience vividly and explained that the "pain was ridiculous." She shared, "When I drank alcohol after having lip fillers and woke up like this."

But she's since healed and is feeling fine compared to how she looked like in the clip that has over 72k followers.

Great City Medical explains that it's best to abstain for at least the next 24 hours when it comes to alcohol consumption after lip filler. Alcohol thins blood vessels, which could lead to swelling and dehydrate the body. Patients are told to especially stay hydrated to prevent inflammation and swelling.

Her experience becomes quite the horror story amongst those who were thinking about the procedure or have friends thinking about it.

It turns out several people have gone through similar experiences and felt sorry for her.

Just earlier this month, a 22-year-old Los Angeles-based woman shared her swollen lip after a lip injection.

She shared her worries with TikTok which received a flood of comments from others who've experienced the same thing said it was 'normal.' Briana didn't drink any alcohol, which also led several people worried for her to tell her to check with the doctor if it could've been an allergic reaction.

She's since updated that the swollen went away after leaving it alone for a while.

It turns out that the swelling is "perfectly normal and only temporary," and if it feels uncomfortable, one can ice the area to reduce the swelling quicker. Another piece of advice is to avoid salty and spicy foods and to stay hydrated.
