Summertime can be scorching! In 2020, the internet recorded Australia dealing with the enormous wildfires it’s ever seen. In 2018, the temperature got higher than they’ve ever been in the country Japan. Fast forward to 2021, both the Pacific Northwest and Canada are experiencing a record-breaking heatwave. In the last few days, temperatures attained a record-high of 112 degrees Fahrenheit in Portland.
Canada’s national record broke when a small town called Lytton reached 115.9 degrees Fahrenheit. It’s downright surprising that it’s boiling in Portland. The city in the U.S. state of Oregon considered the largest and the most populous, is currently dealing with over a 100-degree temperature, and it’s miserable.
