Gabrielle, a customer in a Groomsmen barbershop located in North Sydney, Australia, had to deal with being called the kind of queer people don't want around. They are "not welcomed" to the shop anymore by their barber. Gabrielle, who was born a woman, identifies as a non-binary. She was out to get a masculine haircut which was the barber, Aaron's specialty.
"Telling me I am a girl and that you do not cut 'girl's hair' is frankly sexist and uncalled for," Gabrielle texted Aaron on Instagram later.
A few days after getting their haircut, Gabrielle finally confronted the barber on "some pretty harmful comments" he made.

"First of all, I am nonbinary. And second of all, haircuts are not gendered," they wrote before telling him off for refusing to give them the haircut they want for having 'girl's hair.'
"My hair is biologically no different than any other gender. I asked for a masculine haircut, which you do," she added. They did not forget to compliment the man on his skills and told him that he "did a great job." However, they wished that he would stop making comments that would deter queer people from going out as they "resort to cutting or coloring our hair in our bathrooms."
She ended her message, "'I hope I am able to come back to the Groomsmen one day without fear of being discriminated against and I hope you can understand where I'm coming from."

Oh well, Aaron did not take the criticism that well.

He started by denying that he'd ever made any harmful comments and told Gabrielle to stop with the "gender equality accusations." But it didn't stop there as he continued fuming up in a series of videos on his Instagram account (privated now), "If you're a man who's now gay or had a sex change, you've still got male hair. I had a girl come in - a girl, a female, a woman - and ask for a men's haircut."
"You're a girl; everything you have is feminine. None of this 'I'm gay, now I'm a boy.' Nah, man, you're a f**king woman."
"I don't care who you like; you're a woman, you will always be a woman, you will always have woman hair."

He then followed that up with a direct message to Gabrielle, where he used expletive language to call her "entitled" and "wrong."
"Listen here, yeah, you know why people don't accept you, because of the way you represent yourself," the man wrote. "Sweetheart, I have more gay and lezzo friends here, and you do, I can assure you that."
He claims not to treat his queer friends like Gabrielle because "they are nothing like your kind of queer."
"I was good enough to cut your hair and charge you a tight a** rate, and you still want to attack me for saying you have female hair. YOU DO!"
"You're a f**king woman man, and it has nothing to do with what private part you chew on. So get the f**k over yourself."

The exchange between the two had only been filled with hate speech after Gabrielle offered "to provide some info on the queer community" before signing off with "Happy Pride month."
Aaron replied, "You mean the circus?"
He didn't forget to quote Gabrielle's own anecdote and told them to stick with doing their hair in the bathroom, "not because you're unaccepted, but because you're unwelcomed."
