17 Hilariously Unrealistic Female Outfits In Movies That Don’t Make Sense

We have celebrities, including movie stylists, to thank for the numerous fashion trends, both past, and present. But for every win, there seems to be a handful of thick boundary-pushing looks featured in movies that miss the marks. Some female actor outfits have toed the line of being scandalous to ridiculously unrealistic. Seeing a woman kick a** is somewhat liberating, mainly as awareness for women to always be guarded regularly emerges.

But of course, there’s a problem with how these female actors are styled, and our compilation is proof. From the outfit Cat woman wore in Batman Returns, Night Bitch in Kick-Ass 2 to Laurie from Watchmen, you certainly will agree to our mentioned above concern or perhaps deduction. Have a glance, brace up for face-palm moments, and yes, the term really might escape your mouth too. Are you thinking already? You don’t have to, enjoy!

Night Bitch is one of the superheroes inspired by Kick-Ass. She claimed to be a holy citizen when in reality, her outfit is the most provocative out of all the superheroes in Justice Forever. You will agree that this character's upper top isn’t comfortable, let alone practical, for a real fight.

Laurie Jupiter.

Laurie appeared in Watchmen, and instantly, people couldn’t resist her brown hair with bangs, brown eyes, full lips, and a beauty mark below her right eye. She’s 5.8 and said to be good with martial arts and gymnastics. However, her black bra and thong costume, covered by a see-through yellow dress alongside high leather boots and gloves, aren’t apt for crime-fighting.

Mystique.

Marvel released Mystique in X-Men: First Class to follow up on the theme of mutants as spies. The character is a beautiful blue mutant who can shapeshift, making her a near-perfect spy. But then, compared to her costume from the comics that were skimpy yet clothed, Mystique in the movies was essentially naked.

Tina.

Dimension Films

In the movie Dead or Alive, Tina was a professional wrestler who had wanted to prove that she’s a legitimate fighter. But who uses a Canadian tuxedo to fight? Tina did, even though it wasn’t all revealing. More interestingly, she had full hair and makeup done too.

Harley Quinn.

Warner Bros.

Harley’s outfit in the comics for Suicide Squad almost covered her entire body. But in the movie, her Sequin underwear seems to be far beyond the expected. Most people have aired opinions of preferring the actress’s appearance in Birds of Prey Version.

Natasha.

Marvel Films

Marvel’s attempt at Natasha’s hair in Iron Man 2 is undeniably a poor one. Her outfits are mostly top-notched, but then there have been a handful of scenes in which this particular wig has blown out flawlessly.

Patience.

While the Catwoman movie reportedly had zero cultural relevance, Patience’s outfit, featuring an underwire bra, is enough to cause discomfort and boobs flying out mid-fight. It's perhaps safe to say there’s a little of a double standard here. And besides, why was so much skin exposed to being harmed?

Diana.

Warner Bros. Pictures

Who doesn’t love Wonder Woman? Well, the outfits of the Amazons aren’t intriguing. Diana’s costume, in particular, appeared like armor which would have been very helpful as protection from danger. However, it barely covered her body, and for sure strapless tops can be hard to rock for a fight.

Michelle Pfeiffer.

Pfeiffer played Catwoman in 1992’s Batman Returns, and as it appears, her costume is exceptionally tight. We can imagine how hard it was for her to get on and off with such an outfit.

Padme.

The initial outfit Padme wore all gorgeous. But her appearance in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the clones was, however, made to appear more sexualized. She was so young, and YES, it was unnecessary to have ripped the outfit this way.

Mother Russia.

One would wonder how Mother Russia opted to wear this triangle-styled bra in the first place. Besides, triangle bras don’t offer proper support, and hers look like a push-up, implying it’s got padding. On the other hand, what was the essence of baring out the stomach, which is so vulnerable to being attacked?

Baby Doll, Rocket, And Sweat Pea.

Warner Bros. Pictures

Who fights real in heels? Baby doll, rocket, and Sweat Pea did in Sucker Punch. The drama thriller created quite a cult following and remained one of the most confusing flicks ever seen. The movie is stacked with strong women, but it’s concluded that a guy made the film!

Elektra.

Yet again, the movie Elektra is written by a man! Fighting in a lingerie corset is so unrealistic. You can but imagine how Elektra felt with the wires all lounging around her body with boobs that could escape at mid-fight. Who actually designed this outfit in the first place?

Letty And Kara.

UNIVERSAL PICTURES

The outfit Letty and Kara wore isn’t downright apt for this fighting scene. Letty wasn’t wearing a bra, and of course, formal wear amid fight scenes can be very stressful, especially as they are women. Just for a second or two, put yourself in Letty and Kara’s situation.

Alice.

2002 Screen Gems

How did Alice in Resident Evil comfortably fought in this dress without experiencing a slip-up? This slip dress is apt for a night of sleep and not suitable to show onscreen. But of course, it’s recognized as a hero’s outfit.

Christie And Helena.

Strings bikinis aren’t practical for martial arts! So this scene in the movie Dead or Alive is not suitable as Christie or Helena might have possibly experienced boobs flying. Do you agree?

Sally.

This is undeniably a dance costume! But then Sally donned this silk dress for the movie Watchmen. There’s nothing protective nor supportive for a fight scene, and it sure looks way too flimsy.
