Who’s getting married? This is the question guests asked each other during a recently held wedding celebration, where the bride’s stepmom showed up in a white lace bridal gown. Just as anyone would have reacted, the anonymous bride was left furious at this, even though she couldn’t do anything.

Taking the matter to a Reddit community titled: “Wedding Shaming Forum.” The bride under the username @Cat_Toe_Beans uploaded a pic of her and her dad’s wife but covered the faces with emojis. “My stepmom showed up in a white lace dress to my wedding.” The bride captioned the cringe-worthy photo.

As seen in the photo, not only did the stepmom’s dress have floral lace designs, it equally had off-shoulder details, the same as the bride's. The bride added via the comment section: “I thought about making her cover-up, but I knew I wouldn’t do any good. She’s toned deaf. Luckily this was a COVID wedding, less than 14 guests.” Due to his incident, the bride further shared that she wouldn’t be inviting her stepmom to the wedding reception, scheduled to hold when lockdown restriction ease.

Some members of the Wedding Shaming Forum questioned if anyone confronted the stepmom about the inappropriate outfit. In response, the bride revealed that everyone present felt what she was doing was dumb and that her family didn’t bother with her anymore. “It was a small ceremony (only family), so everyone knows about her shenanigans.” The bride stated. However, a few members blew hot about the incident and labeled the stepmom ‘tacky.’
