Things easily get awkward when you find out your pregnant after a relationship ended. It gets even more awkward when your ex-boyfriend is already in another relationship with someone else. What began as well-received news from both sides despite the ended relationship, however, turned sour for this Reddit user.

After sharing the fact that she was pregnant for 24 weeks with her boyfriend, her boyfriend revealed that his current girlfriend has fertility issues. Over time, however, the girlfriend began to take over the happy events and treated it as if she was the one having the babies by default.

At first, it was Joe and her. But soon after, the girlfriend began taking over.

The woman shares that Joe's girlfriend began telling her how she wants the pregnancy to happen and what she's going to have to do. Because "she would eventually be the children's stepmother," she went as far as telling her what the kids would call her.

But she wasn't taking any of that - she walked out and told them she would make her own choices for her kids.

But it didn't stop - her ex's girlfriend continued to pester her. Things got out of hand when Joe's girlfriend threw a gender reveal party without her and announced a baby shower.

The Reddit user called her out under her gender reveal party post to "stop treating me like a surrogate." She also reminded her that "the kids weren't hers" and Joe doesn't have custody on them until they were born per the state's regulation. Now, the girlfriend's family and friends were calling her out for trying to protect her children.

Upon fellow Redditors' advice, she sought a lawyer to help with her. She later shared, "I did get a lawyer and they let me know in my state there was nothing I could do as far as custody before the babies are born."

"I will be leaving my state soon to ensure that this isn’t my babies' home state and I can’t be charged with anything."

That's not all! The girlfriend later found out about the viral Reddit post and actually wrecked havoc at the woman's workplace.

She shared, "She came to my job, damaged my car, and broke a bunch of office windows."

"I work with kids, so she was arrested for not just the criminal damage and trespassing but also child endangerment, so hopefully that works in my favor."

It appeared that the girlfriend also blamed her for stealing her "life and everything" that was "supposed to be hers."
