Not every parent is good in this world. It's always heartbreaking to hear yet another tragic story of young parents being irresponsible and immature to the point that it cost the life of another. In this case, a beautiful 20-month baby girl becomes a victim of deliberate negligence from her mom.
Verphy Kudi, a 19-year-old mom, has been convicted for manslaughter at Lewes Crown Court. While she was out partying in London, Coventry, and Solihull, she left her child alone in her flat at a supported housing complex in Brighton.
19-year-old Verphy Kudi left her daughter, Asiah, alone with no food, water, or carer for six days.
The baby girl was found dead in December 2019. The post-mortem examination reveals that Asiah was dehydrated, starved, and eventually caught flu.

The family is torn over the death of the granddaughter and that Kudi 'was missing.'
Muba Kudi, the teen mom's dad, said, "My heart is so broken. My daughter was missing. She had been missing since the age of 14."
Her sister is absolutely devastated at this and was angered at what Kudi had done.
"We are heartbroken and angry at how Verphy behaved. Verphy had been estranged from the family for quite a long time and we had minimal contact with her. We have spoken to her and we're still not clear what she was doing for those six days, who she was with and why she left like that?"
"Who the hell knows? We can't understand it," her sister continued.
The family wishes to be left alone because while it's "entertainment" for many, it has "shattered" them, and they wish to be left alone to grieve.
On the same day that her baby girl's body was found, she tweeted about selling some tickets.
Kudi was an aspiring model who shared her dream to become one of Pretty Little Thing models.
Kudi was celebrating her 18th birthday and went of a party spree to three places for six days.
She left on December 5 and returned on December 11, 2019. She only phoned the emergency hotline when her baby girl wouldn't wake up.
Asiah was born on March 22, 2018. The two lived in a supported housing for vulnerable family in Brighton that was run by charity YMCA DownsLink.
It has only been a little over two months since the two of them moved into the flat.
CCTV reviewed showed the mother leaving the flat on December 5 and never came back until December 11.
YMCA Downslink who provided the support housing commented, "We will be working with the Safeguarding Practice Review to understand any lessons that can be learned from this tragedy. Our sympathies and thoughts are with the family and everyone affected by this tragic event."
