Naturally, we (humans) are meant to be social people. Being surrounded by friends and loved ones makes us healthier and happier and scientifically, being socially connected is vital for our emotional and mental health. However, many people tend to be socially introverted, resulting in feeling awkward around people and uncertain of what to say or do. Socially introverted people find it easy to avoid social situations, cut off from others, and gradually become isolated and lonely.
The Pigeon Gazette, a webcomic series, is 100% focused on socially awkward people worldwide. A big thanks to Jane Zei; their everyday living in today’s society has correctly been uncovered. As a socially awkward nerd, Artist Jane isn’t fantastic at mingling. Even when she tries, it results in making hilarious comics about her embarrassing moments. Honesty and bravery best describe Zei’s artworks, and indeed this separates her from the crowd. We are impressed to see how far she has come, and so we’ve collated a few that will make you laugh-out-loud.

Precisely, ‘The Pigeon Gazette’ revolves around Zei, a nerdy girl who struggles with love interests, career, and social situations. The majority of Zei’s stories are from personal experiences, and it’s quite evident. Interacting with people doesn’t appear fun for the artist, but she’s continually trying to learn and grow.

Being an introvert can be challenging, especially in today’s outspoken world. But being a socially awkward person is indeed difficult to a whole new level. Two is a company, and three is a crowd remains true for socially introverted people. And of course, uttering practiced phrases wrong and walking in the same direction with the person they had to say goodbye to depicts that the struggle is real.

Socially introverted is quite a common issue among people of ages and background, but it’s something that most people are hesitant to admit. Like Artist Zei, being socially awkward isn’t a thing to be shy about as no one on Planet Earth was born with social skills. Besides, becoming socially associated can be learned over time but ensure it’s with the right people and the right environment.
