Dench is a grandma and just like every other grandma around the world, she loves feeding her grandkids. 2016 happens to be the year Dench gets a new 17-year-old grandson named Jamal. Here's how it happened.
Dench and Jamal knew nothing about each other until Dench accidentally texted a wrong number and it contained an invitation to a Thanksgiving dinner. That wrong number belongs to Jamal and although he wasn't her grandson by blood, Dench immediately opened her arm for another guest. Jamal happily accepted the invitation to the dinner.

And, of course, Jamal felt the same way. With Trump rising up and so many racist remarks, he felt warm to be able to meet a nice grandma like Dench. And Jamal became Dench's honorary grandson! Congrats!

This is the picture of the real grandson, Justin with his girlfriend, Amanda.

And like what everybody guessed, Jamal went for the dinner.

Dench's phone was suddenly flooded with so many texts that she had to change her number, but nonetheless, it was a pleasing experience. She felt like the world became such a better place knowing strangers can still be nice every now and then.

It can feel really surreal to see two people who had no connection whatsoever before became close family members with just a single text message. 3 years later, Jamal and Dench are still celebrating Thanksgiving together, creating more beautiful memories.

And the beautiful new tradition lives on.
