For an estimated two years, the 27-Year-Old took the mentioned above daily, and it did leave her looking gaunt and covered in face scabs. Fortunately, she’s been clean for 4months, having received treatment, and interestingly, she’s now also engaged.

On her addiction recovery, Dunlop shared photos of herself during the addiction phase in a bid to give hope to other junkies. ‘I have now been entirely clean of both crack cocaine and heroin for four months.’

‘After being an addict for2years, every single day, it took me a very long time to feel I am worthy. I have done well and feel proud of how far I have come. But that’s only because of the incredible support of you all. I will forever be grateful for that.’ Dunlop of Fochabers, near Elgin, Scotland, had written in an emotional Facebook post to her 3500 followers.

Dunlop, however, did grant the permission to share her story public, and currently, she’s still getting treatment as part of her continuing recovery. ‘I’ve watched your journey. You are an inspirational woman and beautiful.’ One of her Facebook friends said.

Dunlop’s old school friend added: ‘You are doing amazing, and I can see it in you. You are ready for this, Demi. You will be back to yourself and the same girl I was best mates with while in school.’ while a third commented: ‘You seem so happy, Demi, full of positivity.’
