She continued: ‘At the initial, everyone was shocked and startled. I didn’t know to do myself, how to live.’

On the other hand, the girls are conscious of staying out of the sunlight and importantly, it turned there were albinos among their ancestors.

'If I go outside in the afternoon, I definitely have to apply sunscreen, put on clothes, headgear or even an umbrella to protect my skin'

Asel added: If I go outside in the afternoon, I definitely have to apply sunscreen, put on clothes, headgear or even an umbrella to protect my skin. In the evening where there is almost no sun, it becomes easier.’

Asel was enrolled in a special school for handicapped children but was later changed to a regular school

The girls, however, have eye problems and Asel is presently wearing glasses. When she was younger, Asel was enrolled in a special school for handicapped children but was later changed to a regular school.

Ms. Sarkitova said the girls' brother questioned why he looked so different from his siblings

‘She studies perfectly well. And Albinos don’t differ much from other children- their hair, skin color, eyelashes, and eyes. At first, it was difficult as children stared at her. Now she feels so good and we don’t limit her to anything.’ Aiman added.
