On October 18, several people were left shocked as to how new horror flick on Netflix 'Eli' ended. It started mysteriously as most horrors do and several characters in the movie proved to be compromised, but viewers weren't sure who the good guys and bad guys were.
Sadie Sink who played Max in 'Stranger Things' was also cast in this movie alongside Charlie Shotwell who played the main character, Eli.
WARNING: SPOILER. We are going to discuss the ending and a lot of people's reviews. Turn back before it's too late!
The story began with Eli and his family moving into a new mansion where Eli who has immunology disorder will go through three phases of procedures.
Sadie Sink was there and she introduces herself to Eli as Haley after seeing the boy driving past her house down the road.
She came off as a cheery, brave girl who explained to Eli that there has been several kids who came before him. They were all 'allergic to the world'.
Things got pretty fishy about the facility when we see how the cold sisters treated Eli. Straps were put on and Eli felt like he was burning.
Personally, this part have already gave out the hint that the nurses weren't there to make him feel better. Although, it almost felt like they were trying to put him through a purification ritual. But it didn't answer the questions like why he always felt allergic.
Until Eli realized that he was not human nor was he allergic. He awakened his power and this all happened after Haley told him that he is stronger than the rest.
Oh, boy, he was so badass.
But several people weren't entertained because instead of ghosts, this one tread into 'physical' demonic powers.
Okay, sure. It was not the kind of horror like 'The Conjuring' or 'Annabelle' has. 'Eli' actually stands closer to 'Supernatural' near the end.
Haley appears to be his half-sister from the same dad, Devil. The ending scene showed the three of them driving to meet dad, with one of his fling doing the driving. Haley also appeared to lack respect for the elderly, shown from how she commanded recently shocked mother of Eli.
Some others loved the twist and thought it was refreshing!
What about you? Have you streamed the latest horror flick on Netflix, yet?
To be fair, Sadie Sink being such a cool and ignorant daughter of the Devil himself looks very badass. She had shown a little from her acting in 'Stranger Things' that she can not only be a soft girl in front of tortured Billy, but also a badass against the scariest Demogorgon.
