Airline Passenger Wears All Of Her Clothes To Avoid Paying Additional Baggage Fee

A flight passenger, from the Philippines, recently pulled a stunt to avoid paying for additional baggage charges on a flight by wearing almost all of her clothes.

Gel Rodriguez wore 10 pieces of her clothing after her carrying luggage exceeded the maximum weight of 7Kilos.

The traveler had been informed by airline staff at the check-in-counter that her box weighed excess, about 9 kilos, hence would be charged a weight fee.

‘The airline staff at the check-in-counter said: ‘Only 7 kilos are allowed in-hand luggage and I replied, there’s no problem. I don’t  want to pay the fee for the excess baggage since it was just 2.5 kilos.’ Gel explained in her Facebook post on October 2nd.

Gel Rodriguez, from the Philippines, decided to wear 2.5 kilograms of her garments after her carry-on luggage exceeded the maximum weight

Transforming her overweight baggage from 9 kilos to 6.5 kilos after layering herself with jackets, pants and t-shirts, Gel, however, claimed she will never attempt layering her body with 10 pieces of clothing at any airport again.

Revealing it became really hot, Gel captioned her shared photo: ‘From 9kg to 6.5kg baggage.’ #ExcessBaggageChallengeAccepted#

Being quite a brilliant solution, Gel appeared wearing 5 shirts, 3 pants, and 3 jackets. Her hilarious post garnered over 33,000 likes, 1,000 comments and shared more than 20,000 times.

‘Why haven’t I thought of this, hahaha! A Facebook user commented. On the other hand, some users admitted they’ve done the same in order to prevent paying baggage fees.
