Student Earns Full Marks For Writing A 19-Word Essay, But The Grade Comes With A Warning

A resourceful student has earned full marks from her professor for her latest essay that had only 19 words.

Allison Garrett admitted that he saw a cheeky opportunity in the teacher’s assignment that required them to write a short film review. She chose the 1999 cult classic Fight Club, starring Brad Pitt, Edwards Norton, and Helena Bonham Carter.

The storyline of the film was about an underground Fight Club, with their own strict rule: “The first rule of fight club is you do not talk about fight club”

This quote is exactly what Allison wrote for her essay and it came to her advantage.

“That’s it. That’s the essay.”

She wrote below the paper to end her assignment.

The risk paid off and she received full marks for her ingenious idea. She shared a photo of her assignment on twitter under the caption: “The assignment for essay 5 was to review on a movie that we had seen. The opportunity arose, and I took my chances.”

However, the teacher was wise enough to send her a warning when she sent back her assignment.

Her teacher didn't know what grade to award her

They said: "I struggled over this grade for a long time. I finally decided you get a grade for a laugh and how relevant your review is for this particular movie.

"Let me warn you: do NOT try this kind of thing with other professors; they may not have my sense of humor.

"Score - 100/100."

Allison later wrote: "I honestly cannot say that I regret my decision!"

One person wrote: "This is the greatest thing I've ever seen."

Another added: "They should just go ahead and let you graduate on that note 100%."

One student commented: "I need a professor like that."

But another admitted that unfortunately, that wouldn't have worked for them.

One added: "My professor would've said I didn't cite my source and tried to get me expelled."
